FLASH!

"I have just learned Flash! Owmegawd!!!"

How it started:

I was looking for freelance web-design and develoment jobs online. I came across this potential employer who was disappointed with their company's website. I came to check their website and to everybody's horror, it was, well, --horrible. It was made from a very simple html/css website (I think there was a very simple form submission script somewhere...). Anyway, that company, after looking at my meager design samples, decided to take me to work on their problem. At first I thought they were looking for another website design using html/css with a few javascripting and some php/mysql backend. So after a few email conversations, they gave melink for a design that they were looking for. To my horror, it was in FLASH!

Oops, I... ugh... didn't know flash (back then). So I got to surfing the internet for a solution to my dilemma. I thought that combining some banner animations with a script-based website might convince them to take the idea.

I was looking through some freeware flash animation tools when I suddenly had the urge to understand how the animation works using flash. I didn't have much hands-on experience with the original Flash 8 program where an authentic flash designer works. I had some basic tutorials downloaded though but they were all in animation. I wanted to design a website in flash-- but I only got flash-animation tuts.

Suddenly, while doing a hands-on animation design in Macromedia Flash 8, I came across basic actionscripting. So put 2 and 2 together and there was it! The solution suddenly came up into my mind and I couldn't rest until I could get to test my theory in mind and-- VOILA!!! A fully-functional Flash website!

I'm sooo into it right now. Gotta go, I'll DEFINITELY post some images of some website designs that I've made, that means both flash and non-flash (static or dynamic)-- but later. Right now I have some cool work to do.
